SUBMISSION STATUS

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS ONLY

We only accept submissions that are sent to us via our AUTHORS.me digital platform. Help us do our part to keep our planet green by not sending us physical copies.

MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS

We understand the need for multiple submissions to sell your work, however we need to know this up front. Please mention this in the "Why I Am a Good Fit" question on your AUTHORS.me submission.

 

Also, please inform us immediately if your work is contracted elsewhere so that we may remove the manuscript from consideration.

 

Multiple submissions from a single author are also acceptable, though we ask that you create a separate submission for each manuscript.

If Pandamoon is open for submissions and you meet the above criteria, you are ready to submit.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

When you click on the SUBMIT YOUR WORK button (which is only visible when we are open), you will be redirected to AUTHORS.me to sign up (at no charge) and begin the submissions process. Your completed submission will then be sent directly to our staff for review.

 

Please follow all the steps and you will be directed at the end of the process to submit your project to Pandamoon.

Be sure to fill out your profile completely. We use a lot of parameters when making acquisition decisions. The more information you provide us shows us that you are serious about your writing career.

 

If you would like to ensure that you have properly submitted your manuscript to us, you may contact our Acquisitions Manager, Cheri Champagne, for receipt verification or to answer any questions that you may have.

REVIEW PROCESS

Our acquisitions team reviews every manuscript which is submitted to us. If we do not believe your book is a fit for Pandamoon, we will send you an email letting you know.

 

Due to the enormous volume of submissions, review may take several months. If you have not heard from us within 60 days after your receipt of our confirmation email, do not be concerned. We will respond to your status query when requested by sending an email to Cheri Champagne.

If your manuscript is approved, our publisher will contact you to begin discussions on acquiring your manuscript for publication.

BEST PRACTICE METHODOLOGY

We have a proprietary publishing process that we created to help ensure the success of our authors and their hard work. It’s multi-step best practice thinking that starts with our receipt of your manuscript and actually never ends as we apply a continuous improvement methodology to all of our projects.

 

This best practice approach works exceedingly well in many industries and we are the first publisher to employ this methodology in the publishing process. We believe in this process and know that following it gives both our authors and our company the highest return on our mutual investment. In a nutshell, this is what you can expect when you work with us:

  1. Provide a collaborative and supportive work environment using technology that connects all Pandas (authors and staff) together across the globe.

  2. Comprehensive MARKETING AND INDUSTRY TRAINING  is provided to author and staff members at no cost.

  3. Manuscript goes through three thorough editing steps:  SUBSTANTIVE AND LINE, COPY, and PROOF.

  4. Marketing plan and strategy cooperatively developed for online and offline purposes.

  5. Extensive author platform development that focuses on ways for our authors to actively seek and engage with their readers.

  6. Book cover and integrated marketing communications materials designed and produced by our Art Department.

  7. Fully edited book converted into multiple ebook and print formats and sent to our distributors for online sales, bookstores and other retail outlets, and libraries.

  8. Author is partnered with a Pandamoon publicist and is also supported by our Global Publicists, for the entire time the author is under contract with Pandamoon.

  9. Market research is conducted to properly position the book in the market and informs the launch and follow-on tactics set forth in the book's marketing plan.

  10. METRICS of success are constantly analyzed and marketing efforts are adjusted accordingly throughout the entire time the book is under contract.

SELF PUBLISHED TITLES

As a general rule, we do not accept self-published titles. However, we have made exceptions to this rule on a case-by-case basis.

 

The primary condition upon which we would consider exceptions is if the book (and series, if applicable) was critically well received but did not achieve significant reach in the marketplace.

 

The only way for us to determine whether or not it is a mutual fit is to send it to us for evaluation during our open submission windows.
