PANDA-TASTIC TWITTER EVENTS

#PITDARK

#PitDark is the first and only Twitter pitch event to highlight literature of a “darker” nature. Importantly, this is not limited to horror works; however, any pitched manuscript must contain an element of horror or darker writing.  Examples of such categories include pure horror novels, dark fantasy, murder mysteries, psychological horror stories, etc.  YA, NA, and adult age categories are welcome. This event is organized by Pandamoon's own horror author, Jason Huebinger. While we are supporting it and will be there monitoring pitches, there are many other fine horror publishers attending the event, as well as a whole host of agents who specialize in the genre. You can go here for more information.

#ADPIT

This Twitter pitch party is geared specifically towards pitches for Adult manuscripts. More information can be found on the website/blogs of Heidi NorrodHeidi's Blog and #AdPit BlogYou can follow the organizers on Twitter at: @MTelschWilliams, @NCTFowler, @SidneyTBlake, and @hrnorrod.

OTHER TWITTER PITCH EVENTS

If you organize a Twitter pitch party or know of one not on the above list that you think Pandamoon should support, please let us know.

GENERAL RULES

Although each Twitter pitch party has its own way of doing things, we've found that our general policy applies to all of them. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us before or even during the event.

IF WE FAV'ED YOUR PITCH

Congratulations! If we favorited your pitch, then that means that your 140-character pitch intrigued us and we'd like to read more. The same submission guidelines apply to Twitter pitch requests, so be sure to follow them. The only thing we ask in addition to our standard guidelines is that you insert name of specific pitch party and the name of Panda who favorited your pitch in the "Good Fit" section of your Authors.me query. When we receive it, it will go to the top of our submission pile and will get preferential consideration.

CONTACTING US DURING THE EVENT

Zara and the acquisition editors like to engage with authors, so feel free to send them an @ mention if you haven't received a favorite from Pandamoon during the event. No guarantees that they will favorite your pitch, but you will know that they will at least have seen it.

So, what do we do at these events, and what do we expect of people who interact with us at them?

TWITTER PITCHES

Pandamoon is a proud supporter of Twitter pitch parties. In fact, not only are they fun but we've signed several of our authors from these types of events.
