A strange illness is sweeping through Colonodona, killing all who contract it. The young hedge witch Gwendolyn sees the truth in it, that no one else can see: this illness is unnatural in its origin, it is born of magic. Spurred on by her need to protect the people she has sworn to aid, Gwendolyn travels to the capitol of Colonodona to tell the royal family all that she knows.

 

Teaming up with Ipsinki, on the orders of the King, Gwendolyn scours the country looking for the only wizards powerful enough to create such a monstrous curse. But soon, their mission becomes a race against time, as the illness strikes the capitol, and members of the royal family have their lives hanging in the balance. Can they succeed and cure the incurable illness? Or will tragedy strike before they return?
