It's the most wonderful time of the year!

No no, not the holidays. It's finally FALL!

I hate summer. There, I said it. I hate being hot. I hate getting sweaty. And like most writers, I'm allergic to the sun.

Plus, living in New England is like a fall lover's paradise. Apple picking, hiking, the leaves changing color, and best of all....back to 50/60 degree temperatures! (I'm getting distracted by the GIF to the left while writing this because that's how I feel when I emerge from my summer slow down).

It's also the time for NaNoWriMo! For those that don't know, it's National Novel Writing Month. You commit to writing every day (or as much as possible) in the hopes of completing a book before Nov 30. I've been doing it for two years now, and while I haven't actually finished any books during this time, I do find myself writing more than usual. This year, I'm cycling between a YA fantasy novel and the 2nd book in my Ballpark Mysteries. So, quite eclectic, which makes NaNoWriMo fun!

And in the Fall we also get, the "Fall Classic!" Otherwise known as the World Series. And I don't know if you heard, but my Boston Red Sox are World Champs! Plus, football, basketball, and hockey season are all in full swing....it's perfect!

But back to the Fall weather. It's not too cold yet....so you can still enjoy the outdoors, but you don't have to worry about bugs, or humidity, or frizzy hair days. (Just me? Okay).

So Fall is my jam. Thanksgiving is great, the weather is great, and spooky fall books are coming out! That's always fun!

And it's a nice respite from what might be another cold, snowy winter....which, I'm okay with too. More time to read! So, hooray for fall!
